I had no idea how many transport options existed between Heraklion airport and Rethymno. Aegean Shuttles showed me the KTEL bus, two shuttle options and private taxis — all with prices. Ended up saving €30 vs what I would have paid at the airport.

Is Aegean Shuttles a transport operator or a search platform?
We are a search and comparison platform — not an operator. We do not own any buses, taxis or vehicles. We aggregate routes and prices from licensed operators across Crete so you can compare everything in one place, like Rome2Rio or Omio.
Is the service free to use?
Yes, completely free. Searching, comparing and browsing routes costs nothing. We may earn a small commission from operators when you complete a booking, but this never affects the prices you see.
What transport types does Aegean Shuttles cover?
We cover public buses (KTEL), shared shuttles, private taxis, airport and port transfers, ferry connections and car rental options — all across Crete. We are continuously adding new operators and routes.
Are the prices shown accurate?
We display prices as provided by each operator. Fixed-price services (taxis, shuttles) are exact. Public bus fares are accurate to the current KTEL tariff. We recommend confirming final prices at the point of booking with the operator.
Do you cover the whole island of Crete?
Yes. We cover all major regions — Heraklion, Chania, Rethymno, Lasithi — as well as airports, ports, resorts, beaches and villages across the entire island. If your destination isn't showing yet, it may be added soon.
How is this different from just Googling it?
